AKB48 Team 8 Abe Mei graduation comments:
In these three years, I’ve been able to do activities with my beloved AKB48, I was able to learn a lot, and grow.
And through these experiences with AKB48, I was able to think about my future.
Even though I was a normal middle school student in Shimane, through joining AKB48 Team 8, I was able to meet many people and expand my world.
So as I became a second year in high school, I began to think about what course to take from here, and I strongly want to try pursuing a career that allows me to go overseas. And to tell the truth, recently my activities have made it hard for me to focus on both them and my schoolwork.
I hate the idea of leaving both half hearted, so I made this decision in order to pursue my new dream.
It feels like these three years have gone by in a flash. To Toyota who has given us their support since the beginning, the other Team 8 members I stood on stage with and danced alongside, and the fans who made every day fun. I believe these experiences will always be my treasure. I’m truly indebted to all of you. Thank you so much.
Until my graduation stage, in the time I have left, I would like to continue to do my best in a way that is true to Abe Mei.
