Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Masafumi Ishii announced 5 Indonesian-Japanese Friendship Ambassadors on the closing night of Jak-Japan Matsuri Festival 2017. Two of the five names include Singer Tulus and JKT48’s Haruka Nakagawa.
“I am very pleased to be chosen as one of Indonesia-Japan Friendship Ambassador, hopefully in the future Indonesia-Japan diplomatic relations will be more adhered to the future,” Tulus said after the announcement by the Japanese Ambassador in Indonesia at Wisma Aldiron Square on 10 September 2017.
Ishii hopes that the five friends of Friendship will strengthen the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan.
“I hope the young people who are far more famous than me can bridge the relationship between Indonesia and Japan to be even tighter,” he said.
Ishii explained the election of this friendship ambassador will remember the diplomatic relations Indonesia-Japan to 60 years on 20 January 2018.
Visitors who came to witness the announcement of the five figures became the Ambassador of Friendship Indonesia-Japan seemed very enthusiastic and happy.
Jak-Japan Matsuri 2017 is held for two days, Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10, 2017. In this event visitors can enjoy the performances of the artist, as well as visiting various culinary booths that serve a variety of typical Japanese menu such as marugame, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, donburi, unagi, and of course various other types of Japanese ramen.
There are about 108 booths provided to entertain visitors. The booth consists of a variety of products, ranging from automotive, food, and souvenirs typical of Japan. Visitors can also take pictures with kimono clothes with a background of cherry blossoms that have been prepared.
Besides Tulus and Haruka Nakagawa, three other Friendship Ambassadors are Artist Yuki Kato, Persib Bandung Footballer from Japan Shohei Matsunaga, and also Singer Andien.
