Nogizaka46 Wakatsuki Yumi won the Nikaten Art

​Member Nogizaka46, Wakatsuki Yumi again won “Nikaten / Nika art Exhibition” for 6 consecutive years! Sato Shiori from Keyakizaka46 also for the first time received the first prize in this Art Exhibition! 

Member Nogizaka46, Wakatsuki Yumi, and Keyakizaka46 member Sato Shiori won the award for “The 102th Nika Art Exhibition” event held today (8/9) until 18 September at Tokyo National Art Center (NACT).

In this year, Wakatsuki includes his design work in category A (Free Theme), while Shiori chose category D (Free Theme: Multigrafis). For 6 consecutive years Wakatsuki’s work has been selected as the winner, and for Sato, his victory this year is the first art award he achieved.

Out of a total of 1004 entries, 352 of them are from Wakatsuki’s hands in this Nika exhibition. Wakatsuki also commented, “Although I am happy to win for 6 consecutive years, but I feel the competition from year to year becomes very fierce. “. “Since there’s not much time to make new work, I just combine some of my old works while I’m enjoying my free time.
