August 28, 2017, member Nogizaka46 along with cast and film director ‘Asahinagu [あ さ ひ な ぐ]’ attended the celebration to wish the success of the screening.
‘Asahinagu’ is a film that is lifted from Kozaki Ai’s manga. The film tells the story of a girl named Tojima Asahi who has a small body and is physically weak. Tojima Asahi decided to change himself. He enrolls at Naginata club at his school and works hard with other club members and targets to compete in national competitions.
The film stars Nogiaka Nishino Nanase, Shiraishi Mai, Matsumura Sayuri, Ito Marika, Sakurai Reika, Ikuta Erika, Nakada Kana and Saito Yuuri.
In this event, the members recall the time to start practicing Naginata since the beginning of the year and the filming process. Nishino Nanase said, “Naginata is very heavy and difficult to handle, the skin of my palms up through my blisters and arms until I have muscle aches, I do not know about Naginata at all, much to learn from this film and become a good experience for me.
Nishino also revealed, although in Naginata the player’s face is not clearly visible due to wearing a mask, but most of the scenes in this film are played by each player without a cast member.
While Ikuta Erika, who plays Ichido Nene, rivals from Tojima Asahi commented, “I speak to the director, instead of featuring a scary and powerful Nene character like the original character, I also want to add a friendly Nene side like an innocent child and like sulking, I want to show Nene who also has a cute character. ”
The movie “Asahinagu” will begin playing in Japan on September 22, 2017.
