LEGACY The ASEAN Literature Festival (ALF) 2017 will be closed on Sunday (6/8). The plan idol group JKT48 will appear to attract young people interested in reading and likes literature.
“Later the closing is JKT48.Now is not the time for literature and books consumed only a handful of people alone,” said ALF Okky Madasari initiator in Jakarta, Wednesday (1/10).
According to Okky so far literature and books are seen as something difficult that can only be enjoyed certain people only.
For that in the series of events that his party wanted to invite young children love books and literature, especially during school children exposed to limited literacy.
“The members of JKT48 are book readers and not many know,” he said.
For participants who are still in school, ALF 2017 held a National Literature Jamboree which contains training and workshops composing poetry and writing at the Museum of Ceramics, Kota Tua.
The festival, Okky said, aims not only to emphasize the intellectual side of students, but also to introduce books to young children.
The ASEAN food festival will also enliven the series of events. The event aims to introduce ASEAN to the community through culinary and provide an understanding of Indonesia’s culinary wealth.
